It’s only been a day since Miley Cyrus deleted her twitter account yet she’s received thousands of comments asking why.

The 16-year-old actress/singer responded to the questions in a rap song. Miley rapped, “It wasn’t because my friend told me to/You know very well what you say I don’t do/The reasons are simple/I started tweeting about pimples/I started living for moments and I started living for people.”

She continued later on in the rap, “I want my private life private and I’m done trying to please. I’m not living for tabloids, I’m living for me.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK about Miley’s reason?

I certainly agree with Miley’s choice to keep some of her life private. But I wish she would not have given up her Twitter account. It would have been ok to be more selective about what she chose to tweet. But I think giving the account entirely, was the wrong choice. Twitter is a great way to market your projects. It was a great source for putting out the word on new albums, her clothing line or whatever. It sort of offered a sense of friendship and closeness to her fans. I for one will miss seeing her tweets.
