Legally Blonde: The Musical

According to www.okmagazine.com, On May 16 Miley attended the play Legally Blonde: The Musical, which was at the Palace Theatre. The news of Miley Cyrus being at the play spread through the crowd quickly.
“She was super nice [to fans]. She took pictures and signed autographs,” an inside source with the show tells OK!. It shows how nice she is to stop for pictures and autographs, when she is there to see the musical.
Due to the fans that surrounded Miley, the musical started late. “They couldn’t start the show, she was swarmed,” the insider reveals. “They took her backstage so the audience could calm down and the show could get started, and then she was brought back to her seat.”
While Miley and her mom were backstage, she got to meet the lady that is playing Elle Woods, Laura Bell Bundy. “Her mom is from Kentucky and I’m from Kentucky, so we connected over that,” Laura tells OK!. “She couldn’t have been more sweet and adorable.”
I love the movie Legally Blonde, and I have wondered how the musical compared.

Wait.
I know this is somewhat unrelated, but why is Miley Cyrus signing autographs when the people in the actual play should be getting the attention?
I just saw Gypsy, and Bernadette Peters was in the crowd, but she purposely sat in a b ox, isolated, so that she would not detract from the play.
Wouldn’t that be the polite thing to do?
