Miley Cyrus Bio
Destiny Hope “Miley” Cyrus was born November 23, 1992 in Franklin Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville. Miley is an American actress, singer and songwriter, and best known for her role of Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana, on Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana show.
Up until her stardom hit Miley attended Heritage Middle School, but now sees a private tutor for all of her education. She is the daughter of the popular country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and “Tish” Cyrus. She has two “half” brothers, Christopher and Trace. Trace is a member of an electric rock band in California named Metro Station. She gained her nick name “Miley” because she was always “smiley” as a youngster. She enjoys attending church weekly, and also playing with her numerous pets- horses, dogs, cats, fish and chickens. Miley’s godmother is country music singer, Dolly Parton.
Miley began her acting career at the young age of 9. While in Toronto, she played “Kylie” on a show her father starred in called “Doc”. Later that year, Miley was featured in a music video called “If Heartaches Have Wings”, by Rhonda Vincent. She also appeared on Colgate Country Showdown, with her father, Billy Ray.
At age 11, Miley was contacted by the Disney Channel to play the role “Hannah Montana”. She is now currently 14 years old, and quickly becoming one of the brightest young actresses in America!
